ITEM NO. (2)                        REQUEST TO APPROVE FLOAT LOAN PROGRAM COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND CITY OF CARSON FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR ADVANCED MACHINE STRETCHYFORM INTERNATIONAL (AMSI) (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

RECOMMENDATION for the City Council:

TAKE the following actions:

1.                  APPROVE the attached County of Los Angeles Float Loan Program Cooperation Agreement between the City of Carson (City) and the County of Los Angeles (County) to assist Advanced Machine and Stretchform International, Inc. (AMSI) through the offering of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) loan by the County to the City for the purposes of the City making a working capital loan to AMSI.

2.                  AUTHORIZE the Mayor, City Clerk and City attorney to sign the attached County of Los Angeles Float Loan Program Agreement between the City and the County.
