1.                  AMEND the contract with Conrad & Associates, LLP to include funding for the additional services in the amounts of $4,000 and $4,800, respectively, for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2003 and 2004.

ITEM NO. (6)                        REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WORK GROUP TO SPONSOR THE SEPTEMBER 15, 2005 CARSON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE QUARTERLY BREAKFAST (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT)

RECOMMENDATION for the Redevelopment Agency:

TAKE the following action:

1.                  APPROVE the sponsorship of the September Carson Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Breakfast.

2.                  AUTHORIZE staff to evaluate the value of the sponsorship and determine if this should be an annual or bi-annual business retention component.

ITEM NO. (7)                        REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO AMEND OVERLAND PACIFIC & CUTLER, INC.'S CONSULTANT CONTRACT TO CONTINUE TO PROVIDE REDEVELOPMENT STAFFING SERVICES ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005/06 (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT)

RECOMMENDATION for the Redevelopment Agency:

TAKE the following actions:

1.                  APPROVE the First Amendment to the Consultant Agreement between Overland Pacific & Cutler, Inc., and the Agency, dated December 21, 2004.

2.                  AUTHORIZE the Executive Director to execute the First Amendment to the Consultant Agreement between Overland Pacific & Cuter, Inc., and the Agency after approval as to form by the Agency Counsel.

ITEM NO. (8)                        REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO EXTEND AN EXCLUSIVE NEGOTIATING AGREEMENT WITH THE ACEVEDO GROUP FOR A PORTION OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 616 EAST CARSON STREET (PROJECT AREA 4) (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT)

RECOMMENDATION for the Redevelopment Agency:

1.                  APPROVE a 90-day time extension for the Exclusive Negotiating Agreement with the Acevedo Group for the disposition of a portion of property located at 616 E. Carson St., Carson, California.

1.                  AUTHORIZE the Agency Treasurer to transfer $2,679,747 from the Carson Redevelopment Agency Funds to the City's General Fund.
