Chairman/Mayor requests the audience to fill out Speaker Forms to indicate those items on which they want to speak, and turn them into the City Clerk/Agency Secretary at the beginning of the meeting, in order to be recognized by the Chairman/Mayor.  Agenda arranged so that speakers may be heard early.  Agency/Council to indicate items to be pulled.

ITEM NO. (4)                      CONSIDERATION OF AWARD OF A DEMOLITION CONTRACT FOR THE 21802/21814 S. AVALON BLVD.  DEMOLITION PROJECT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 21802, 21810 AND 21814 S. AVALON BLVD., CARSON, CALIFORNIA, IN PROJECT AREA NO. 4   (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT)

RECOMMENDATION for the Redevelopment Agency:

TAKE the following actions:

1.                  AWARD the 21802/21814 S. Avalon Blvd. Demolition Project contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Interior Demolition Inc., of Tujunga, CA in the amount of $41,130.00.

2.                  AUTHORIZE the Agency Chairman to execute said contract following approval as to form by the Agency Counsel.

ACTION:

ITEM NO. (5)                      REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION TO CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES WITH PERKOWITZ & RUTH ARCHITECTS, TO PROVIDE PEER REVIEW AND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT SERVICES ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT)

RECOMMENDATION for the Redevelopment Agency:

TAKE the following actions:

1.                  APPROVE a two-year agreement for consultant services with Perkowitz & Ruth Architects, for a not-to-exceed amount of $60,000.00.

2.                  AUTHORIZE the Agency Chairman to execute the consultant agreement with Perkowitz & Ruth Architects following approval as to form by Agency Counsel.

RECOMMENDATION for the Redevelopment Agency:

TAKE the following actions:

1.                  OPEN the joint public hearing, TAKE public testimony, and CLOSE the joint public hearing.

2.                  WAIVE further reading and ADOPT Resolution No. 07-28, "A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 07-1377 AMENDING THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT AREA NO. 1 WITH RESPECT TO THE ORIGINAL AREA PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTION 33333.6(e)(2)(D)."
