2. DIRECT staff to transmit an executed copy of the resolution to Senator Leno and legislators representing the City of Carson.

1. AUTHORIZE the City Manager to explore the feasibility of producing/presenting a billiard tournament in the City of Carson.

1. AWARD a Construction Contract for Project No. 1330: Avalon Boulevard Pavement Restoration from the I-405 Freeway to 223rd Street, in the amount of $770,218.00, to the lowest responsible bidder, All American Asphalt, Inc.

AUTHORIZE the expenditure of a construction contingency, if necessary, in an amount not-to-exceed $77,021.80 (10%) for change orders such as the removal and remediation of contaminated soil, substructure conflicts, and other unforeseen construction work that may be required to complete this project.
