Landscape and Building Maintenance

Parks, Projects, Mowing and Civic Center Landscape is under the supervision of Mr. Richard Main, Parks Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Main supervises 14 full-time and 8 part-time employees.

Mowing and irrigation maintenance at all twelve parks, three mini-parks, and the Civic Center.

Civic Center landscape maintenance – approximately 14 acres.

Landscape maintenance programs at Scott, Carriage Crest, Veterans Parks and the Corporation Yard Grounds – approximately 41.5 acres total.

Mr. Richard Main, Parks Maintenance Supervisor, has worked in parks landscaping for the City of Carson since August 1971. He promoted numerous times throughout his 35 year career and most recently was promoted to supervisor in December 2005.
