Assists with improving public relations priorities and channels of communication with the local media, community, public institutions and business; three alternates The Carson Public Relations Commission shall have the following authority and duties:(a) Act in an advisory capacity to the City Council, City Manager, and Public Information Manager in certain matters pertaining to public relations and public information services within the City of Carson.(b) Recommend general policies on public relations and public information services for approval by the City Council, City Manager, or Public Information Manager.(c) Advise the City Council, City Manager, and Public Information Manager concerning the development of public relations and information programs and events.(d) Provide assistance to the Public Information staff on coordinating major public relations programs and events.
