Press Releases Share Print #22-005 BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION The City of Carson will be hosting a day of non-stop performances on Saturday, February 26, 2022 as Carson joins the nation in commemorating Black History Month.The Black History Celebration will take place on February 26th at 12 p.m. at the Carson Event Center East Parking Lot, located at 801 E. Carson Street in Carson. The event is open to the public and admission is free.This year’s event features a host of musical selections, dance and culture with the theme, “The Soul of A People: A Sound, A Movement, A Tribute to Stax Records and the City of Memphis”. The program also includes educational displays and historical facts. Black History Month is celebrated throughout the month of February to reflect on the teachings and pay tribute to African Americans who have made significant contributions to the American culture.
