City of Carson Reports No Significant Damage after M4.3 Earthquake

Carson, CA - A magnitude 4.3 earthquake centered in Carson occurred at 7:48 p.m. Earthquake triggered an emergency shutdown of refineries. Controlled safety flaring events at Carson-based refineries were occurring as normal. No structural damage has been reported by these refineries, major utility companies or businesses. No other significant damages reported in the City.

As of 10:30 p.m., South Coast Air Quality Management District reported good air quality and projected good air quality for Saturday.
