Donald Hayes Headlines the City of Carson’s Jazz Festival

Musician, arranger, orchestrator, artist and feature film/television composer Donald Hayes will lead the line-up for Carson’s Annual Jazz Festival scheduled on October 2.

One of the most sought-after musicians and arrangers in the country, Donald Hayes has worked with the biggest artists in the world including Beyoncé, Babyface, Janelle Monae, Robin Thicke, Earth, Wind and Fire, Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas and James Brown to name a few.

The virtual event will take place at 6 p.m. by logging on to http://carsonca.gov/Jazz. One of the longest running events in Carson, the Jazz Festival is well attended by residents of the South Bay each year. Previously top billed past performers include Barbara Morrison, Kenny Lattimore, Loose Ends, Angela Bofill, Ronnie Laws, and many other big names in the jazz music industry.

“The City Council continues to support one of Carson’s longest running events which draws a huge crowd from all over Southern California. This event is one of the longest running events in Carson,” said Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes.

Other performers include Jazz in Pink, Del Atkins and the Legacy Ensemble and CSUDH Dominguez Hills Jazz Ensemble.

The Jazz Festival is a sponsored event by the Carson Citizens Cultural Foundation and the City of Carson.
