About Us
The Senior Recreation program provides recreation activities for seniors ages 50 and older. Senior Recreation offers numerous exercise classes, health information, fairs and much more. Participants must maintain their own personal hygiene without assistance. Care providers are welcomed but must be with client at all times. No children are allowed in senior programs, activities, trips or special events.

Senior Clubs and Groups are co-sponsored by the City, yet operate independently. Activities include bingo, games, cards, and luncheons.

Free Tax preparation for Seniors
The AARP offers free tax preparation help to anyone, and if you are 50 and older, and can't afford a tax preparation service, we were made especially for you! We understand that retirement or other life changes may mean your taxes are a little more complicated now. With the help of our team of IRS-certified volunteers, we make it easy for you. Tax-Aide will be available at the Carson Community Center on Monday & Wednesday between February-April 2024. There's no fee and no sales pitch for other services, and AARP membership is not required.
