Community Development Block Grant

Community Surveys: Five-Year Consolidated Plan and Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice
Over the next several months, the City of Carson's Community Development Department will be undertaking two very important efforts to shape our city's future:
  • The Five-Year Consolidated Plan, a strategic plan to facilitate economic opportunity, neighborhood stabilization, and community revitalization through such resources as the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Program, and
  • The Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, a review of laws, regulations, administrative policies, procedures and practices in both the public and private sectors that affect fair housing availability and opportunity in Carson, and recommendations for actions intended to improve these conditions.
We view your input as valuable to these efforts, so we encourage you to complete these surveys. Thank you for your participation.

Notice of Intent to Request Release of Funds
On or about September 16, 2019, the City of Carson will submit a request to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the release of Community Development Block Grant funds under Title I of the Housing & Community Development Act of 1974.
