Carson City Officials Excited to Announce Start of Construction of Playground Build for Children with All Abilities

WHAT:
Carson will kick off the construction of the first fully integrated playground designed for children of all abilities. The very first of its kind in Southern California, the playground will provide various stimulating structures that appeal to a wide range of users of differing ages and abilities.

The playground design concept allows for full integration of children with varying physical, cognitive, and social-emotional abilities, and encouraging assimilation.

WHY:
Carson’s leaders will bring their vision to life with the start of construction of a playground for children with all abilities. This playground is the first of its kind in Southern California.

HOW:
This project is made possible by a $1.25 million grant from Marathon Petroleum Corporation. Construction of the playground is expected to be completed by December 2019.
