Press Releases Share Print #21-006 CITY OF CARSON ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR VACANT COUNCIL SEAT In the November 3, 2020, Carson Municipal Election, then Councilmember Lula Davis-Holmes was elected Mayor, thereby vacating her City Council seat term ending November, 2022. The City of Carson is currently accepting applications to fill the vacant City Council seat. The term of this seat is from the date of appointment to November, 2022. If the City Council does not make an appointment by March 15, 2021, a special election will be held.Interested applicants are invited to submit a completed Application Form, including your interest, reasons for applying and your qualifications to serve on the Carson City Council. The Application Form can be accessed at http://ci.carson.ca.us/content/files/pdfs/cityclerk/CityCouncilCandidateApplicationForm02112021.pdf. A resume may be included in the addition to the completed Application Form, but is not required for consideration.Applicants must reside in the City of Carson, be at least 18 years of age, and be a registered voter.All materials must be received by the City Clerk’s Office via e-mail to CityClerk@carsonca.gov by February 24, 2021.
