COVID-19 UPDATE:
  • NEW Carson Circuit Routes A & B are now running Monday – Friday, every 40 minutes from 7:00 am – 9:55 am and 2:00 pm – 4:55 pm. NO MID-DAY SERVICE. Please click here for more information.

  • The Transportation Services office is now open to the public. Staff is available to help with credit card payments in person or questions regarding all programs Monday – Thursday from 8 am – 5 pm.
  • New programs: Dial-A-Ride services are available for ALL Carson residents over 18 yrs. old during the declared pandemic. Taxi rides to and from COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available at no cost to Carson residents. Rides with Lyft are 50% off with promo code LYFTCARSON

Long Beach Transit is Expanding in Carson

MISSION STATEMENT:
Provides city-wide transportation programs related to improving the fixed-route public transit system, specialized elderly and disabled transit, on-demand rideshare, transit support of city park programs, and regional air quality issues.
  • Dial-A-Ride Program provides on-call taxi service to seniors and disabled residents within City limits and designated satellite points outside the city.
  • New COVID-19 Dial-A-Ride offers 50% off taxi cab rides for all Carson residents within City limits. Must show driver proof of residency (CA ID Card or Driver's License.)
  • Lyft provides residents with safe and convenient rides within City boundaries. 50% off each ride with a maximum ride cost of $20, up to 30 rides per month. Participants must be 18 years of age to ride alone.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Taxi service is free for all Carson residents TO and FROM City-designated vaccination sites within 3-miles from City boundaries. Must book vaccine appointment in advance.
  • BREATHE (City Employee Program) utilizes various incentives and strategies to maintain employee commuter travel modes to three major city worksites. The program complies with regional air quality goals under AQMD Rule 2202 by reducing air pollution from mobile sources.

DIAL-A-RIDE ONLINE PAYMENTS:

Dial-A-Ride Online Payment

  • Effective January 3rd, 2022, City of Carson has transitioned to a NEW online payment system. To make online payments, please click on the registration link above, and click Create an Account on the top right corner, Upon doing so, please select the Membership tab to purchase taxi rides.
  • For help, please call Transportation Services at (310) 952-1757.
Dial-A-Ride participants are recommended to make online payments at this time in order to lessen travel and exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

If you are unable to make an online payment, please mail a check to City of Carson, Transportation Division. Our office is now open Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm.
