The Business License/Revenue Division is one of three divisions located in the Finance Department, which falls under the Administrative Services Work Group.
This division is responsible issuing and collecting all applicable taxes and fees for business licenses and regulatory permits, collection of City specialty taxes (Utility Users Tax, Transient Occupancy Tax, etc.), managing franchise agreements, as well as issuing burglary alarm permits.
Comprehensive Fee Study
The City contracted with Revenue & Cost Specialist (RCS) to conduct a thorough review of all City related fees. All services were identified, as well calculating staff time spent in relation to those services. RCS finalized a comprehensive report discussing each service, as well as the methodology in determining adjusted fees. The report and recommended fees go before the City Council on June 6, 2023. A public hearing notice has been posted in accordance with state law. The Cost of Services Study report, 2023 Uniform Comprehensive Schedule of Fees, RCS's PowerPoint, and Resolution 23-091 adopting recommended fees can be viewed via the links below.
