BIOGRAPHY
Joshua Boudreaux currently serves as the Human Resources Director at the City of Carson. With a vast experience in the public sector, Joshua has a well-rounded background that includes expertise in public sector labor representation, HR management, and executive recruitment and classification and compensation consulting.
Before joining the City of Carson, Joshua worked as a labor representative with the Orange County Employees Association, where he represented employees in various capacities such as grievances, investigations, meet and confers, interactive processes, arbitrations, and negotiations. Joshua also worked for the Orange County Fire Authority, where he worked closely with Chief Officers and helped developed the Professional Standards Unit in addition to working for the City of Anaheim.
Joshua's career also includes serving as an Administrative Manager for the County of Orange, where he handled employee grievances, conducted investigations, and represented the County on meet and confer items. In 2017-2018, he served as the President of the Orange County Human Resources Consortium. Joshua then joined Koff & Associates, where he conducted classification and compensation studies, utilized his marketing skills, and recruitment experience to bring a full-service experience to all clients. While at Koff & Associates, he managed full-cycle recruitments for California public sector agencies, including cities, counties, and special districts.
Joshua holds a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in American
Politics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also earned his
Master's in Public Administration from Chapman University (Brandman) and a
Master's Certificate in Human Resources with an emphasis on Labor Relations from
Cornell University.
When he's not at work, Joshua spends time with his wife Janeth Boudreaux and his two children, Amelia and Ella Boudreaux.
