“Dr. Martin Luther King’s legacy is more than his I have a Dream Speech. His legacy is a true testimony to how far we have come today as a nation. Dr. King transformed society and his legacy to me is a legacy of gratitude. His commitment and plea to our leaders to find a collective solution to the problems that he faced doing his lifetime are still prevalent today. Dr. King stood for true equality for all,” said Carson Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. event is an annual year-opener for the City of Carson.
