Press Releases Share Print #20-019 CITY OF CARSON WILL BE HOME TO 7 VOTE BY MAIL DROP BOXES IN MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION The Office of the City Clerk has partnered with the Los Angeles County RegistrarRecorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) to place 7 Vote By Mail drop box locations in the City of Carson forthe Presidential General Election.Beginning on October 5, all registered voters will be mailed a Vote by Mail ballot to ensure theyhave a safe and accessible voting option during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this election, theRR/CC is expanding the number of drop-off locations throughout the county so voters haveadditional methods to return their completed ballots. Seven drop box locations, all available 24hours per day, seven days per week, will be distributed throughout Carson for the safe andconvenient submission of completed ballots. Additionally, voted ballots also can be returned by mail(no postage required) or in-person at any Vote Center.The drop box locations in the City of Carson includes:Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library (17906 S. Dimondale Dr.)Harbor Gateway Transit Office (731 W. 182nd St.)Vote by Mail drop box locations will be available beginning October 5, and will close at 8 p.m. onElection Day, Tuesday, November 3. Drop boxes are available to voters 24 hours a day during thevoting period.
