This service is a key part of our commitment to building a connected and inclusive community where everyone can access the internet for work, education, or leisure in the beauty of our public spaces.Mayor Lula Davis-Holmes expressed her enthusiasm about the project: “I am thrilled to announce that we are taking another step towards creating a more connected and inclusive community. Take a step into our parks, breathe in the fresh air, and stay connected to the pulse of our city!”The Wi-Fi in the City Parks Project is solely funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the federal stimulus bill to aide public health and economy recovery established in 2021. The project was completed efficiently and under budget, with the total spend coming in at $286,373.60, a significant savings from the allocated budget of $420,272. These savings demonstrate the City’s commitment to fiscal responsibility while improving public amenities.Residents can now enjoy seamless internet connectivity in all neighborhood parks.
