This special event will honor the contributions of Larry Itliong, a pivotal figure in the American labor movement and a champion for farmworkers’ rights. The event is free and open to the public.The celebration will begin at 9 a.m. with cultural performances, various forms of musicalentertainment, recognition of the essay and poster contest winners all highlighting Itliong’s impact on labor rights and the Filipino American community in California. His efforts alongside other labor leaders led to significant improvements in the working conditions of farmworkers.
