City of Carson Hosts Free E-Waste Recycling, Paper Shredding, and Dump Day Collection

Where: Carson City Hall Parking Lot 701 East Carson Street Carson, CA 90745
The City of Carson will be hosting a free e-waste recycling, paper shredding, and dump day collection for the community. Clean out your garage and help protect the environment. Proof of Carson residency is required to participate in this convenient, drive-thru recycling event.
All electronics such as computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, ink and toner cartridges, printers, microwaves, cables and wires, and laptops will be recycled.
All paper will be shredded on-site. No commercial/business waste will be accepted. There is a limit of 2 file paper boxes per household.
The City will also be hosting a dump day collection to discourage illegal dumping along highways and roads. Dump day gives the community a convenient place to dispose of bulky items safely, properly, and at no cost. This collection is limited to household items such as old furniture, mattresses, and carpeting. No commercial drop-offs are allowed.
Non-Accepted Items Include: Car tires, refrigerators, air conditioners, batteries, propane cylinders, oil or petroleum, contaminated products, car tires, vehicles or vehicle engine parts, sand, liquid waste, salt/brine, detergents, used needles/sharps containers, medicine, bulbs, fluorescent tubes, tires, tire carcasses, tire split rims, chemical containers, hazardous waste, paint containers, electronics, treated wood, contaminated dirt, sewage, asbestos.
