New! Carson Civic Access

For New Permits: Apply Online using Carson Civic Access an easy and convenient portal to apply for Planning permits, entitlements, and submit plans and related material.

On June 4, 2024, the City of Carson launched a new full service online permitting system called Carson Civic Access Portal or Civic Access. For new Planning applications, please submit online using Civic Access which will greatly improve how you apply for and manage permits and is accessible from any device at any time.

  • Planning Permit and Entitlement Application Submittals
  • Online Payment Processing
  • Schedule Planning Inspections

Carson Planning Division in-person public counter operations in-person services are open Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Appointments are still recommended. To schedule an appointment, please email us at planning@carsonca.gov or call us at (310) 952-1761. You are encouraged to provide as much information as you can in your email or over the phone so we can provide the best service when we meet with you. We still encourage everyone to use the Planning Webpage (http://ci.carson.ca.us/CommunityDevelopment/Planning.aspx) to obtain pertinent information, forms, fees, submit plans, etc. In addition, the same email and phone number above can be used to resolve matters through email or over the phone.
